'Kingdom Come: Deliverance' Warhorse Studios Overall, the One X did a better job than the Pro in Digital Foundry’s tests but the differences were small. The Pro and One X do a much better job than the base consoles at holding to 31 fps throughout, although high-stress scenes cause both to drop frames. The PS4 generally runs a few fps faster than the Xbox One in these high stress scenes. Here frame rates can easily drop to the low 20s.
These frame time problems could be eliminated if maximum frame rate was limited to 30 fps.įrame rates on the vanilla consoles generally hover around the 31 fps maximum except during cutscenes, scenes with heavy rain, and city environments with a lot of NPCs.
Different frames remain on the screen for different periods of time which introduces visual unevenness and stuttering that is constant throughout the game. This introduces a problem with frame times. Kingdom Come: Deliverance was built using CryEngine 3.8.6 which appears to default to a 31 fps frame rate.
